Distance is a project that I have been concepting for almost two years. I had some design ideas and metaphors in mind, revolving around themes of alienation and social disconnection. So, I started a visual bible around it.
Each character is an allegory in itself and exist to personify their own flaws. The project would tackle different issues, from exploitation and class struggle to narcissism and obsessive behavior.
It might eventually become a movie, or something else. In the meantime I would like to share some of the designs with you guys.
This is the Peacock. The King of the realm and the drive that powers the mechanical world of Distance.
A proud yet lost soul, who lives an apathetic existence with his partner the Sphynx. In their luscious spire, they eternally reproduce the same dispassionate dance.
